Phlebotomy Technician CPT
The Phlebotomy course, will be instructed in a process that incorporates both practical, book-based study and hands-on practice. you will be prepared for employment as a Phlebotomy or to provide supplemental training for students previously or currently employed in this occupation, this course covers laboratory studies, communication instruction, properly obtaining specimen collection, urinalysis, basic office bacteriology, hematology, human relations, legal and chemistry.
Application Fee ApplicationYou will learn all aspects of medical laboratory safety, sorting and recording specimens, the use of standard precautions and quality control. You will be able to perform venipuncture and capillary puncture. This course will also review the clinical theory in safety, Anatomy & Physiology, Venipuncture. You will learn the different types of lab equipment and their use and also learn to properly use equipment in the medical laboratory.
The Phlebotomy technician is a solid career in a growing profession, this is one of the trades that has so much opportunity in a variety of health-care settings, is an important field in the health-care mostly because of the work expansion in physician’s office, medical clinic, laboratories or hospitals. Becoming a Phlebotomist is essential for the collection of blood which is the source of human life and the collection of other tissues samples to be used for analysis by a laboratory.
